There is too much negativity out there and false stereotypes being peddled by the media on issues concerning black people in the UK.

However, times are changing and a lot of us are beginning to see through these assumptions. We are now constantly seeking resources to help us believe and go for our dreams despite various obstacles. We have been starved of quality motivational and positive publications which relate to us directly over the years. We have relied on others to tell our stories in the ways they deem fit. We have focused on ‘other issues’ while our image takes a battering in the media, unchallenged.

But it’s a new day!

Ninetynine magazine is not some kind of dull journal but an entertaining, yet motivational online magazine which rates as highly as most mainstream publications in terms of quality in contents and design. We are departing from stereotypes which over the years have portrayed black publications as dour and sad.

We invite you to take this journey with us as we change the face of black British media for good.
